Mima Jaušovec (born July 20, 1956 in Maribor ) is a former Yugoslav tennis player .

Career

She became known for her victory at the French Open in 1977. The following year she was there again in the final, but had to admit defeat to Virginia Ruzici from Romania. In 1983 she was able to advance to the Roland Garros final for a third time, this time she was defeated by Chris Evert .

Between 1973 and 1989 she played 37 games for the Yugoslav Fed Cup team , of which she won 19.

In 1988 Mima Jaušovec ended her professional career.
