Missing You is a soul ballad recorded for the soundtrack of Set It Off . The title was sung by the US singers Brandy , Gladys Knight and Chaka Khan as well as the Canadian Tamia . Barry Eastmond was the producer and the soundtrack was written by Gordon Chambers and Barry Eastmond. The song was Tamia's chart debut and in 1996 reached number 25 in the United States and number two in New Zealand and number 92 in Australia . The song "Let It Go" by Brandy's brother Ray J , also from the soundtrack for Set It Off , also reached number 25 in the US charts.
