Modsiedl is a village and a cadastral municipality of the municipality of Raabs an der Thaya in the Waidhofen an der Thaya district in Lower Austria .

Settlement development

At the turn of the year 1979/1980 there was a total of 65 building areas with 32,701 m² and 61 gardens on 30,674 m² in the cadastral community of Modsiedl , in 1989/1990 there were 65 building areas. In 1999/2000 the number of building areas had increased to 107 and in 2009/2010 there were 47 buildings on 102 building areas.

Land use

The cadastral community is characterized by agriculture. 506 hectares were used for agriculture at the turn of the year 1979/1980 and 293 hectares were forest areas. In 1999/2000 agriculture was carried out on 509 hectares and 293 hectares were designated as forest areas. At the end of 2018, 480 hectares were used as agricultural land and forestry was carried out on 303 hectares. Modsiedl's average soil climate is 43 (as of 2010).
