Muhammed Ildiz (born May 14, 1991 in Vienna ) is an Austrian football player of Turkish descent on the position of midfielder .

Career

society

Ildiz began his active career as a football player at the end of August 1999 in the youth department of SC Red Star Penzing in the 16th district of Vienna Ottakring . There he was active in the club's own youth team until July 2001, before he switched to the youth division of SK Rapid Vienna. With the Hütteldorfern he went through various divisions and came from the season 2007/08 as a 16- or 17-year-old for his first assignments in the U-19 youth team of the club, which their play in the U-19 youth league sponsored by Toto Has. After he came to a total of four missions in the U-19 youth league in 2007/08, he was brought into the Rapid Amateurs squad before the start of the 2008/09 season . During the same season he was also used in three U-19 championship games in which he scored two goals.

With the amateurs he made his team and league debut on August 19, 2008 in a 2-2 draw against eventual champions First Vienna FC 1894 , when he came on in the 89th minute for Arvedin Terzić, who was two years older than him. After he was only used briefly at the beginning, he gradually came to longer championship appearances and was often on the field for the entire duration of the match during the season. Ildiz scored his first goal for Rapid Amas on March 20, 2009 when he scored the only goal in a 1-0 home win over SC Neusiedl / See . In his first season with the amateurs, he already had a record of 17 championship games, in which he scored two goals.

In the 2008/09 ÖFB Cup , Rapid Vienna played three games for the second combat team. After Ildiz and his team threw Bundesliga club SCR Altach 2-1 out of the current competition in round 2 , the team created an even bigger sensation in the round of 16 than SV Mattersburg , also active in the highest Austrian league, with 5-1 threw out of the ÖFB Cup. After making it to the quarter-finals of the cup competition , the team around Ildiz had to admit defeat after 120 minutes of play on penalties against the amateurs of FK Austria Wien .

During the summer break before the 2009/10 season , Momo, as he is called by his teammates and friends, was accepted into Rapid's professional squad for the first time, mainly because of his good performance with the amateurs. The two-way right-footer came on December 17, 2009 for his first competitive appearance for the professionals when he was in the Europa League match in Group C against Celtic Glasgow in use. In the 3: 3 home draw in the sold-out Ernst Happel Stadium , Ildiz replaced the goalscorer to 3: 0 Hamdi Salihi from the 78th minute . After SK Rapid Wien was already leading 3-0 after 19 minutes, the team gave the believed victory shortly before the final whistle when Paul McGowan , who is mainly active in the Celtic reserve team, scored the goal in the 91st minute to make it 3: 3 final score scored.

Ildiz, who is often jokingly referred to by his colleagues as "Gattuso for the poor" because of his resemblance to the Italian defensive midfielder Gennaro Gattuso , is supposed to take Yasin Pehlivan to the position of midfielder in the Rapid Vienna professional team in the summer of 2010 , if he perceives a foreign transfer consequences. In autumn 2010, the 1.77 m tall player was still in the Regionalliga team and made 22 championship appearances and two goals in the 2009/10 season.

In the summer of 2010 it was awarded by the Green-Whites to the then Bundesliga promoted FC Wacker Innsbruck , but returned to Hütteldorf at the end of the 2011/2012 season.

In the transfer window of winter 2012/13, he moved to 1. FC Nürnberg . He signed a contract until June 30, 2017. The first half-season with the Franks was rather unhappy. Although he was substituted on five times, he was only in the squad six times because he was repeatedly injured and even had to undergo appendectomy at the end of the season. Immediately before the start of the second half of the 2013/14 season, Ildiz moved to Turkey and signed a three-and-a-half year contract with Gaziantepspor .

After moving from Gaziantepspor, he spent the remainder of the 2017/18 season at second division Elazığspor and moved on to league rivals Giresunspor in the 2018/19 season . He returned to Elazığspor in January 2019. He left Elazığspor in May 2019. After six months without a club, he moved again to Elazığspor, who is now third-class, in January 2020.

National team

The Turkish-born Ildiz gained his first international experience when he was active in the Austrian U-17 national team . In 2006 he was called up for the international Youth Toto Cup in summer 2007. At the end of the tournament, the Austrians celebrated their title defense after a 3-1 win over Scotland, a 1-1 draw against Switzerland and a 4-0 win over their peers from Slovakia. In addition, Ildiz was in the squad of the Austrian U-17 team in qualifying for the U-17 European Championship 2008 in Turkey . Overall, Ildiz was used in six U-17 internationals and scored two goals.

After playing for Austria's U-18s in three international matches, he was part of the Austrian U-19 team. He is also part of Projekt12 , which mainly looks after the individual development of the greatest Austrian talents in the U-16 to U-21 range. In October 2009, the young midfielder was called on to join the Austrian U-19 squad, which will be involved in qualifying for the U-19 European Championship 2010 in France .
