Yafran ( Arabic يفرن, DMG Yafran ) is a former municipality that was located in the northwest of the Libyan Arab Republic . The capital was the city of the same name, Yafran . In 2007 the municipal area was divided among the neighboring municipalities.

In the entire area of Yafran, 117,647 people (as of 2003) lived on an area of 9,310 km². The municipality had the following limits to the other former municipalities:
