NGC 2250 is an open cluster of Trumpler type IV2p in the constellation Unicorn south of the celestial equator . It has a diameter of 10 arc minutes and an apparent magnitude of 8.9 mag.
The object was discovered on February 20, 1830 by John Herschel .
