NGC 3519 is an open star cluster of the Trumpler type III2p in the constellation Kiel des Schiff (Carina) in the southern sky . It has an angular extension of 8.0 'and an apparent magnitude of 7.7 mag.
The object was discovered by John Herschel on March 14, 1834 .
