NGC 3497 = NGC 3525 = NGC 3528 = IC 2624 is a lens-shaped galaxy of the Hubble type S0 in the constellation Becher in the southern sky . It is an estimated 156 million light years from the Milky Way .

The object was discovered by Wilhelm Herschel on March 8, 1790 .
