NGC 3475 is a spiral galaxy of the Hubble type Sa with an active galaxy core in the constellation Leo on the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 285 million light years from the Milky Way .
The object was discovered by Wilhelm Herschel on April 10, 1785 .
