NGC 3486 is an SBc-type bar spiral galaxy in the constellation Little Leo . It is estimated to be 29 million light years from the Milky Way and is listed as a Seyfert 2 galaxy .

NGC 3486 was discovered by William Herschel on April 11, 1785 using an 18.7-inch telescope.
