NGC 3526 = NGC 3531 is a spiral galaxy of the Hubble type Sc in the constellation Leo on the ecliptic . It is an estimated 59 million light years from the Milky Way .

The object was discovered on March 25, 1865 by the astronomer Albert Marth .
