NGC 7266 is a spiral galaxy with extensive star formation regions of the Hubble type Sa in the constellation Aquarius on the ecliptic . It is an estimated 225 million light years from the Milky Way and about 60,000 light years in diameter.
In the same area of the sky is u. a. the galaxy NGC 7257 .
The object was discovered by Albert Marth on October 1, 1864 .
