NGC 7543 is a spiral galaxy of Hubble type Sbc in the constellation Pegasus at the northern sky . It is an estimated 318 million light years from the Milky Way and about 100,000 light years in diameter.
The object was discovered on September 19, 1878 by Édouard Stephan .
