NGC 7562 is an elliptical galaxy with an active nucleus of the Hubble type E2 in the constellation Pisces on the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 168 million light years from the Milky Way and about 105,000 light years in diameter . Together with PGC 70880 ( NGC 7562A ) it forms a gravitationally bound galaxy pair .
The galaxies NGC 7557 , NGC 7564 , NGC 7577 , NGC 7591 are located in the same area of the sky .
The object was discovered by William Herschel on October 25, 1785 .
