NGC 7587 is a barred spiral galaxy of the Hubble type SBab in the constellation Pegasus north of the celestial equator . It is an estimated 398 million light years from the Milky Way and about 140,000 light years in diameter . Together with PGC 70985 , it forms the isolated and gravitationally bound galaxy pair KPG 580 . In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 7584 , NGC 7579 , NGC 7595 , NGC 7609 .
The object was discovered by Albert Marth on October 5, 1864 .
