NGC 7606 is a spiral galaxy of Hubble type Sb in the constellation Aquarius on the ecliptic . The galaxy is estimated to be 104 million light years from the Milky Way and about 160,000 light years in diameter.
The Type Ia supernova SN 1987N was observed here.
The object was discovered on September 28, 1785 by the German-British astronomer Wilhelm Herschel .
