NGC 7603 is a spiral galaxy of the Hubble type SA (rs) b: in the constellation Pisces on the ecliptic . It is an estimated 401 million light years from the Milky Way and is classified as a Seyfert Galaxy .
In the sky, the galaxy and PGC 71041 form an optical duo ( Arp 92 ). Halton Arp organized his catalog of unusual galaxies into groups according to purely morphological criteria. This galaxy belongs to the class spiral galaxies with an elliptical companion on one arm (Arp catalog) .
The galaxy was discovered by Albert Marth on October 23, 1864 and is listed in the New General Catalog .
