NGC 7806 is a spiral galaxy of Hubble type Sb in the constellation Pegasus at the northern sky . It is estimated to be 221 million light years from the Milky Way and about 100,000 light years in diameter. With NGC 7805 it forms the interactive pair Arp 112 , KPG 602A or Holm 826A . In addition, the repulsion of a spiral arm ( MCG + 05-01-002 ) can be seen from the spiral galaxy .

Halton Arp organized his catalog of unusual galaxies into groups according to purely morphological criteria. This galaxy belongs to the class of elliptical galaxies that repel spiral arms (Arp catalog) .

The galaxy is considered a member of the NGC 7831 group ( LGG 1 ).

The object was discovered on October 9, 1790 by Wilhelm Herschel with his 18.7-inch reflector telescope and later included in his New General Catalog by Johan Dreyer .
