Arp 98 is the name of an interacting galaxy pair in the constellation Triangulum , which consists of a spiral galaxy and an elliptical galaxy and is cataloged together as Arp 98 . Halton Arp organized his catalog of unusual galaxies into groups according to purely morphological criteria. This galaxy belongs to the class spiral galaxies with an elliptical companion on one arm .
