The 2009/10 season of the Namibia Premier League took place between September 11, 2009 and May 22, 2010.

As in the 2008/09 season, the African Stars became Namibian football champions . As in the previous season, Jerome Louis ( Black Africa ) was also top scorer with 17 goals scored.

facts and figures

The 2009/10 season was sponsored by MTC Namibia with N $ 4.7 million. This was N $ 2.5 million more than in the 2008-09 season . All teams received prize money at the end of the season ranging from N $ 600,000 for the champion, N $ 400,000 for the runner-up and N $ 7,000 for the last place. Each team also received start-up capital of N $ 300,000 and monthly grants of N $ 30,000, which were discontinued in March 2010.

Venues

The stadiums for the 2009/10 season are shown below. For the first time in the history of the Namibia Premier League, strict standards have been set for the stadiums. The Independence Stadium in Oshakati and the Rundu sports complex in Rundu were classified as unsafe, so that league games were not allowed to take place here.
