from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Im Hülsen nature reserve is a 6.19 hectare nature reserve (NSG) west of the village of Dörscheln in the municipality of Kierspe in the Märkisches Kreis in North Rhine-Westphalia . The NSG was designated in 2003 by the district council of the Märkischer Kreis with the landscape plan No. 7 Kierspe .

Area description

The NSG is the valley and source area of the Wienbecke stream as well as some adjacent forest areas and grassland areas . The forest and grassland areas are moist to wet. Dry deciduous forests grow on the slopes.

Protection purpose

The nature reserve was designated for the maintenance and development of a valley and spring area with grassland and forest as a habitat for endangered animal and plant species. As with other nature reserves in Germany, the protection designation indicated that the area became a nature reserve “because of its scenic beauty and uniqueness”.
