The nature reserve Brömcke Bach (partly also recorded as Brömke Bach or Brömckebach ) is a 1.42 hectare nature reserve (NSG) in the urban area of Kierspe in the Märkischer Kreis in North Rhine-Westphalia . It is located directly on the municipality boundary to Halver, east or northeast of the Hinterhedfeld court . The area was designated as NSG in 2003 with the landscape plan No. 7 Kierspe and consists of two sub-areas.
Area description
The NSG is an approximately 700 meter long lower section of the near-natural low mountain range Brömcke with adjoining floodplain . The Brömckebach rises in Schmidthausen and flows into the Kerspe dam shortly after leaving the nature reserve . In the floodplain there are wet forest areas with brook alder-ash forest and alder swamp forest, furthermore wet grassland and in dry areas of the floodplain also oak forest and oak-birch forest stands.
