The Nittum-Hoppersheider Bruch nature reserve is located in the western part of the Hoppersheide district in the Schildgen district of Bergisch Gladbach . It runs southwest of the street An den Weihern with the Hoppersheider Bach , a tributary of the Mutzbach to the city limits of Cologne . It is part of the Bergische Heideterrasse .
vegetation
The protection designation takes place for the preservation and development of alder and birch - oak forests , beech and old oak stocks as well as a near-natural brook as a habitat for rare and endangered animal and plant species.
