Neptune Beach is a city in Duval County in the US state of Florida with 7037 inhabitants (as of 2010).
geography
Neptuna Beach is located directly on the Atlantic Ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway and borders the cities of Jacksonville , Atlantic Beach and Jacksonville Beach .
Demographic data
According to the 2010 census, the then 7,037 inhabitants were distributed among 3,493 households. The population density was 1117 inhabitants / km². 94.6% of the population identified themselves as whites, 1.2% as African American , 0.4% as Indians and 1.0% as Asian Americans . 0.8% said they belonged to another ethnic group and 2.1% to several ethnic groups. 4.0% of the population was made up of Hispanics or Latinos .
In 2010 children under the age of 18 and 21.2% of all households lived in 22.6% of all households with persons at least 65 years of age. 55.5% of households were family households (consisting of married couples with or without offspring or a parent with offspring). The average household size was 2.20 and the average family size was 2.78.
18.7% of the population were younger than 20 years old, 30.1% were 20 to 39 years old, 31.2% were 40 to 59 years old, and 19.9% were at least 60 years old. The mean age was 41 years. 51.0% of the population were male and 49.0% were female.
The median annual income was $ 62,407, with 6.7% of the population living below the poverty line.
In 2000, English was the first language of 95.71% of the population, 3.24% spoke Spanish and 1.05% had another mother tongue.
