Nestor Serrano (born November 5, 1955 in Bronx , New York City ) is an American actor who is often cast for roles as law enforcement officer.

Life

Nestor Serrano studied computer science at Queens College, City University of New York and began acting. He then worked in a bank and studied acting at the Lee Strasberg Theater and Film Institute . From the late 1970s, he appeared sporadically on Off-Broadway . He made his Broadway debut in 1985 with The Boys of Winter and made his screen debut as Julio in the 1986 comedy Gift Is Too Expensive alongside Tom Hanks and Shelley Long . Nestor Serrano has appeared in over 110 film and television productions so far.

In 2017 he was accepted into the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS), which awards the Oscars every year.

He has been married to actress Debbie Ross since May 26, 2002. They have two children together and live in New York City.
