The house Neuer Weg 16 is a listed building in Quedlinburg in Saxony-Anhalt .

The building, registered in the Quedlinburg monument register as an agricultural citizen's house, is located south of the historic Quedlinburg old town, on the east side of the Neuer Weg. The house Neuer Weg 15 , which is also listed, is adjacent to the north and the house Neuer Weg 17, 19 to the south .

Architecture and history

The half-timbered house was built according to a building inscription in 1697 in a style that was considered traditionalist for the time of construction. As decorations, there are profiled lugs on the half-timbered facade and a frieze on the threshold . In addition, there are ankle straps in the compartments . The parapet is also profiled. The ground floor of the building is constructed as a column construction , the floor above as a multi-storey building. In the southern half of the facade there is a gateway built around 1820 in the classicism style .
