Architecture and history

The core of the three-storey plastered half-timbered house was built in the Baroque era around 1740. An increase to the current height took place in 1898. In 1910 the ground floor was rebuilt and a shop in the style of Neoclassicism and Art Nouveau was added. Plastic decorations that refer to the bakery trade were used as decorations.

After a long period of vacancy, the house was in need of renovation. The renovation started in 2014. The house is now used for residential purposes. As part of the renovation, some of the extensions located in the courtyard, including the former brick bakery of the Höbig bakery, were partially demolished. A half-timbered wing intended to be retained received a new flat roof . The back wall of the front building had to be secured.

The facade is now back in its old splendor.
