The house Neuer Weg 2 is a listed building in Quedlinburg in Saxony-Anhalt .

The building, registered in the Quedlinburg monument register as an arable citizen's house, is located south of the historic Quedlinburg old town. The building, which is also listed, is adjacent to Neuer Weg 3 to the south .

Architecture and history

The three-storey half - timbered house was built in 1665 after a date that was added later. In the northern half of the house there is a bay window on the first floor . This is provided with an inscription, according to which the house was built for Heinrich Breuer and Sophia Schmils . The half-timbered facade is decorated with profiled filler wood. On the threshold of the first floor there are notches and a ship's throat . The threshold of the second floor is decorated with a bevel and cleats . There are also pyramid beam heads on the house .
