Neufechingen

Neufechingen (also Neu-Fechingen ) is a district of the Saarbrücken district of Brebach-Fechingen . 2379 people live in Neufechingen.

history

Neufechingen was originally its own small village near Fechingen and Brebach. The place was initially sparsely populated, but the number of inhabitants rose rapidly, because most of the residents then worked in the Halbergerhütte . On January 1, 1974, Neufechingen, which until then belonged to the municipality of Brebach-Fechingen, became part of Saarbrücken due to the administrative and territorial reform. Since then Neufechingen has been a district of the Brebach-Fechingen district.
