Neundorf is a district of the Mitwitz market in the Kronach district in Upper Franconia .

The history of the place goes back to the 11th century . The first documentary mention was in 1266, on the occasion of a donation from the widow Adelheid von Schaumberg and her sons Heinrich and Eberhard, who provided them with an annual sum of money from a talent from a hoof in "Novwendorf". The lords of Schaumberg owned the Mitwitz manor including court and neck court .

State road 2208 runs from Mitwitz to Wörlsdorf to the west of the village . The Franken-Bräu brewery produces in the village .

On July 1, 1971, the previously independent community of Schwärzdorf was incorporated.

On January 1, 1974, Neundorf was incorporated into the Mitwitz market.
