Nico Hammann (born March 16, 1988 in Eberbach ) is a German soccer player .

Career

Nico Hammann comes from the Odenwald and played for his local club SV Affolterbach at the age of five and later for SG Wald-Michelbach . He was discovered by the talent scouts of TSG 1899 Hoffenheim and attended the club's youth boarding school. After moving to the senior division, he was only used in the second team in the Oberliga Baden-Württemberg.

After just one year he moved to TSV 1860 Munich , where he played in the fourth-class second team from 2008 to 2010. He was used regularly and was dangerous for goals, although he was often used defensively on the flanks. He also showed that in the 2010/11 season in the second team of 1. FC Kaiserslautern in the Regionalliga, where he scored nine goals in 33 games.

But since he had reached the age limit at the end of the season, his contract with the U-23 of the Palatinate was not extended. Instead, he moved to Arminia Bielefeld in the third division in the summer of 2011 . There he came on the 3rd game day for his first assignment in a professional league.

In the 2012/13 season Hammann played at KSV Hessen Kassel , with whom he was champion of the Regionalliga Südwest . From summer 2013 to 2015 he was under contract with 1. FC Magdeburg . On July 1, 2015, he moved to SV Sandhausen , but was unable to assert himself there. He returned to Magdeburg at the end of January 2016. During his time at FCM , the defensive player played 150 league games.

For the third division season 2019/20 , FC Carl Zeiss signed Jena Hammann, who provided him with a contract valid until June 2021.
