Nikolas Linsenmaier (born August 19, 1993 in Freiburg im Breisgau ) is a German ice hockey player who comes from the youth department of the EHC Freiburg and apart from a few games as a promotional license player for the Schwenninger Wild Wings and a short change to the Krefeld Penguins in 2017 played for his hometown club. Linsenmaier has signed a new contract with EHC Freiburg for the 2019/20 season.
Career
Linsenmaier played his first three professional games in the 2009/2010 season of the 2nd Bundesliga ice hockey team at the age of 16. In the following season he got significantly more ice age and completed a total of 23 games in which he was able to score his first points in the professional area. However, since EHC Freiburg was relegated from the second Bundesliga this season and even had to compete in the regional ice hockey league due to a license withdrawal , Linsenmaier did not play any further professional games for the time being. He remained loyal to his hometown club and played fourth class with EHC Freiburg in the 2011/2012 season , making a big step forward in this season and becoming the team's third-best scorer behind Tobias Kunz and Patrik Vozar . In the following three years Linsenmaier played with EHC Frieburg in the upper league and also became increasingly a top performer here, even becoming the top scorer of his team in the last two upper league seasons and in the 2014/15 season as a promotional license player with the cooperation partner of EHC Freiburg, the Schwenninger Wild Wings, was able to play seven games in the DEL . Even after the EHC Freiburg was promoted to the DEL2 , Linsenmaier remained one of the key players in the Breisgau team. In all DEL2 seasons since the Freiburg resurgence, Linsenmaier led the team's internal scorer rating after the regular season. At the beginning of the 2017/18 season , Linsenmaier switched to the Krefeld Pinguinen in the DEL, but was unable to assert himself at his new club due to an injury and was then loaned to the EHC Freiburg at the beginning of the season, before returning to his in November 2017 Hometown club returned.
