Career
In 2007, at the age of 18, Wittfoth moved from the youth of the Kölner Haie to the Wolves from Freiburg, who were then playing in the third-class ice hockey league , in order to take his first steps in the men's field. The season was extremely successful for the club with the return to the 2nd ice hockey Bundesliga , but Wittfoth could not prevail in the following second division season in the squad and left the club in autumn 2008 and joined the Eisbären Juniors Berlin . After a successful season for him in Berlin, he received an offer from the 2nd ice hockey Bundesliga from the reigning champion Bietigheim Steelers , which he joined for the next two years. In 2014 Wittfoth found his way back to Freiburg, where he had started his professional career, via the Schwenninger Wild Wings and the Löwen Frankfurt . Since then Wittfoth has developed into an absolute top performer in the squad of the EHC Freiburg, first in the top division and then in the DEL2.
