Nikolaus von Werder (born May 7, 1856 in Frankfurt (Oder) ; † October 22, 1917 at the Sagisdorf manor , Reideburg ) was a German administrative lawyer and member of the Kingdom of Prussia .

Life

After graduating from high school, Werder studied law at the Ruprecht-Karls-University . In 1875 he was reciprocated in the Corps Rhenania Heidelberg . In 1878 he entered Prussia's administration of justice . Since 1883 court assessor , he switched to internal administration. He was District Administrator of the district Goldap (1884), Councilor at the government in Merseburg (1890), district administrator of the hall circle (1893) and Oberpräsidialrat the upper president of the province of East Prussia (1899). In 1903 he succeeded Wilhelm von Waldow as district president in the Königsberg administrative region (until 1908). In the last years of his life he spent the winter in Halle (Saale) and the summer on his Gut Sagisdorf.

On May 21, 1915 Werder was elected for the constituency Merseburg 3 (Bitterfeld, Delitzsch) in the Prussian House of Representatives , in which he belonged to the faction of the Conservative Party .

Werder was married to Anna Maria von Frantzius on February 24, 1887, with whom he had four children. She was a daughter of Theodor Albert von Frantzius auf Uhlkau and his wife Rosa Emma nee. Boring.
