Norma Jean Martine (born March 21, 1991 in Middletown , New York ) is an American singer and songwriter . She wrote songs for Ashley Roberts , Lena , Marco Mengoni , Giorgia and Michele Bravi .

Life

As a solo performer, Martine has played at various festivals, including the Calling Festival in London 2014 and the Latitude Festival . In 2013 and 2014 she opened the Montreux Jazz Festival . She also appeared in the opening act for Tom Odell , Gaz Coombes and Lissie . Their single No Gold was used for the 2014 fall trailer of CW Network in the USA and for the Fox8 winter trailer in Australia .

The top 10 hit Quando una stella muore by the Italian singer Giorgia was co-written by Martine. She also co-wrote the single In bilico by the Italian X-Factor winner Michele Bravi . She was also involved in the song Lonely Nights (Hey You) by former Pussycat Dolls member Ashley Roberts , which was released on Roberts' debut album Butterfly Effect in 2014 . In 2015 Martine was involved in the song In the Light from Lena's album Crystal Sky . In the same year she was also co-songwriter for Marco Mengoni's number one album Parole in circolo with the songs Come un attimo fa and Time of My Life . Martine worked on two songs from Pablo Nouvelles EP Heartbeat with Heartbeat and The Best Thing .

On November 20, 2015, she released her debut EP Animals . On January 29, 2016, Pablo Nouvelle released the album All I Need with the two songs We Ain't Dead Yet and Paint , which were co-written and sung by Norma Jean Martine. Martine wrote the title track with Ronan Keating for his album Time of My Life , which recorded the highest new entry in the UK album charts on February 19, 2016 at number 4 .

Martine has a recording contract with BMG Chrysalis Music USA and Universal Records Germany / Virgin EMI UK and currently lives in London .
