Ashley Roberts
Ashley Maria Roberts (born September 14, 1981 in Phoenix , Arizona ) is an American singer , dancer , actress , designer and model . She achieved great fame as a member of the pop group The Pussycat Dolls . In February 2010 she left the group to start a solo career. Since the comeback in 2019 she has been part of the group again.
Early life and career
Roberts was born in Phoenix and attended Shadow Mountain High School. She started singing and dancing at the age of eight. Her father was a drummer and played for the group The Mamas and the Papas , popular in the 1960s . He later became a car salesman. Her mother was a Pilates instructor . Both inspired her to do something in the entertainment industry. She had brunette hair as a teenager, featured in Aaron Carter's Oh Aaron and Not Too Young, Not Too Old music video.
During the summer vacation, she flew to the western United States to learn modern dance . After school she moved to Los Angeles . She has appeared in television commercials and music videos such as Counting Crows ' Accidentally in Love , Josh Groban's You Raise Me Up , Jane's Addictions True Nature , Aaron Carter's Oh Aaron and Not Too Young, Not Too Old, and Pinks Trouble . She also appeared on the game show Rock and a Hard Place with Pussycat Dolls members Melody Thornton and Carmit Bachar .
Solo career
Her film debut was the role of "Brooke" in Make It Happen alongside Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Riley Smith . It was directed by Darren Grant and premiered on August 8, 2008 in Great Britain.
She announced on her official blog that she was working on many different projects. She will soon be Maxim does Spring Break on E! moderate. She also did a test series for MTV with Danity Kane's Aubrey O'Day , Marques Houston , and singer / songwriter Amanda Ghost. She said that she also records songs for her own album. Aside from these projects, she has also designed special beach wear for the Sydney beach .
In November 2012 she was on season 12 of the ITV television series I'm a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! , the UK version of I'm a Celebrity - Get Me Out of Here! to see where she was in the finals.
In November 2019, Roberts and four of her former The Pussycat Dolls colleagues, including Nicole Scherzinger, announced they would start a comeback including a UK tour and an appearance in the X-Factor finals.
