Kimberly Kaye Wyatt (born February 4, 1982 in Warrensburg , Missouri ) is an American singer , dancer and choreographer . She became known as a member of the American pop group Pussycat Dolls , of which she has been a member since 2002.

biography

1982–2003: Youth and Beginnings

Wyatt was born in Warrensburg, Missouri , a university town near Kansas City . Your father is a trucker . Kimberly Wyatt started dancing at the age of seven. When she was 14, she was awarded a scholarship to dance at New York's Joffrey Ballet and Broadway Dance Center. She graduated from high school at 17 and flew to Las Vegas to audition for casino shows . She worked in a revue on the cruise ship Explorer of the Seas .

Kimberly Wyatt lives in Los Angeles, California . She is active in social projects and is a supporter and donor for RAINN.

2003-2010: The Pussycat Dolls

In 2001, despite an offer from the Hubbard St. Dance Company in Chicago, she moved to Los Angeles to continue her dance career. In 2002, Kimberly Wyatt became one of the dancers on the comedy sketch show Cedric the Entertainer Presents .

In 2003, Kimberly Wyatt appeared in The Black Eyed Peas music video for the single "Shut Up" with colleague Carmit Bachar and was the choreographer and dancer of a music video for Nick Lachey's solo single. While filming, Pussycat Dolls founder Robin Antin asked her if she would like to join the group.

Her trademark is the balancing act that she performed in most of the videos of the Pussycat Dolls. Because of the standing " oversplit " she was nicknamed "Flexy Doll." Kimberly Wyatt's first and only audible solo parts with the Pussycat Dolls she got with the track "Don't Wanna Fall in Love" for the extended version of the second album Doll Domination . After Jessica Sutta , Kimberly Wyatt was the second member to announce his departure from the group on February 26, 2010.

2010–2018: solo career

Kimberly Wyatt was one of the three judges on Sky 1's dance show Got to Dance in 2010 . Kimberly Wyatt produced the song "Candy" with Aggro Santos. The song was released on May 2, 2010 and was part of the soundtrack of StreetDance 3D , the first 3D dance film.

Before announcing that she was leaving the Pussycat Dolls , she told Digital Spy that she was recording her first solo album and confirmed that she was negotiating with Missy Elliott and already working with Paul Wall , Baby Bash and producers of "The Cold Chamber" like Mickaël. In an interview she announced that electro , pop and dance elements will be found in her album . In November 2009 she recorded the song "Love Me Tonight (For Now)", which she produced with Paul Wall. The song was produced by Mickaël. Kimberly Wyatt also released the two tracks "Kiss And Tell" and "Getaway", both produced by Mickaël. On March 5, 2010, she released the song "Not Just a Doll". She is also working on a solo album for a dance project entitled "Her Majesty and the Wolves".

Since 2019: Comeback with The Pussycat Dolls

In November 2019, Wyatt and four of her former The Pussycat Dolls colleagues announced they would start a comeback including a UK tour and an appearance in the X-Factor finals.
