Carmit Bachar
Carmit Bachar (born September 4, 1974 in Los Angeles , California ) is an American dancer , singer and actress . She is a member of the dance and music group Pussycat Dolls .
Life
Carmit Bachar has Israeli , Dutch , Indonesian and Chinese ancestors. Her father did pantomime with Marcel Marceau , danced for Elvis Presley and on Broadway . Her mother is still a dance teacher today.
Bachar was fifth in the American Olympic qualifications for rhythmic gymnastics in 1992 and studied piano, violin, acting and singing. She was born with a cleft lip and palate , which is why she was advised against singing. She has since founded a non-profit organization called Smile With Me . Bachar also danced in numerous music videos, including The Offspring , No Doubt and Beyoncé , and also appeared in Aaliyah's video for Rock the Boat , a few hours before her plane crash in the Bahamas . She also played supporting roles in many films and was the "LaVida Loca Girl" on Ricky Martin's world tour.
In 2001, Carmit Bachar founded a live show with friends called The Zodiac Show , which she is also co-producer. With the Pussycat Dolls , with which she has been involved since the company was founded in 1995, Bachar celebrated international success from 2005 to 2007. Since then she has appeared on many front pages of American magazines such as Steppin 'Out and Deluxe 920 . In autumn 2007 Carmit Bachar was appointed an ambassador for Operation Smile .
At the end of February 2008, Bachar announced that he would quit with the Pussycat Dolls and devote himself to other plans in the future. This was confirmed on March 8th by a blog entry on the official Pussycat Dolls page.
Carmit Bachar already worked with Macy Gray and producers Whitey and Jared Lee Gosselin for her solo album, which is due to be released in mid-2010 . In 2009 she sang the songs Fierce and Cream , which were created in the studio sessions with Gosselin, in clubs in Hollywood. Bachar is also represented as a background singer on the single Beauty in the World by Macy Gray.
In March 2010 an EP from the rapper Detroit Diamond was released, on which Carmit Bachar is represented with two solo songs and a joint recording.
In November 2019, Bachar and four of her former The Pussycat Dolls colleagues announced that they would start a comeback including a UK tour and an appearance in the X-Factor final.
