The North District ( Chinese 北區 / 北区 , Pinyin Běi Qū , Jyutping Bak 1 Keoi 1 ) is an administrative area in the New Territories of Hong Kong . Almost 300,000 people live in an area of 168 km².
In the village of Fanling , also: Fan Ling ( 粉嶺 / 粉岭 , Fěnlǐng , Jyutping Fan 2 ling 5 , coll .: Fan 2 leng 5 ) is the mountain village community of Fünf Wai and Six Tsuen .
