Nothfelden is a district of the city of Wolfhagen in the northern Hessian district of Kassel . The place is located in the Habichtswald Nature Park on state roads 3312 and 3214, which intersect in the village.
history
As early as the 10th century, the place was first mentioned as the "Nothfelt". From the place on a plateau you have a wide view of the Wolfhagener Land.
The Romanesque choir tower church with a half-timbered superstructure is a landmark of the place. In 1751 it got its present appearance. During this renovation, the ceiling of the nave was lowered and a gallery was added. The lantern hood of the tower dates back to 1803. Since 1991 there has been a glass painting in the east window by Erhardt Jakobus Klonk, who was then active in Oberrosphe . The Protestant parish belongs to the parish Altenhasungen .
On February 1, 1971, the previously independent municipality of Nothfelden was incorporated into the city of Wolfhagen as part of the regional reform in Hesse .
The traditional annual rifle festival is one of the highlights in the still agricultural village.
