The Nusplinger Hütte on the Swabian Alb is a weekend-run hiking home of the Swabian Alb Association . The regional route south-west (Danube – Heuberg) of the Martinus route from Sigmaringendorf to Hechingen leads past the hut. The Way of St. James, Via Beuronensis, runs from Tübingen to Constance near the hut . At the Nusplingen hut that starts Nusplingen trail , which in combination with the Schwenninger trail as Skiloipe Big Heuberg is marked.
location
The hut is located at 890 m on the edge of the Bära valley high above Nusplingen in the Zollernalb district . It is located on the road from Nusplingen to Schwenningen (Heuberg) . The hiking home is suitable as a base for hikes and bike rides on the Großer Heuberg, in the Upper Danube Valley , in the Bäratal and on the Südwestalb.
history
In 1931, a refuge was built by the Nusplingen branch of the Swabian Alb Association at the site of today's Nusplinger Hütte. Today's hiking home was built in 1970 by volunteers and inaugurated in October of the same year. A year later, the hut received an extension. A larger extension with a cellar followed in 1976. In 1985 the hut was rebuilt and expanded to include additional accommodation.
