Oberhausen is a district in the south of Schleiden in the North Rhine-Westphalian district of Euskirchen . The place is traversed by the Olef and lies in the middle of the Schleiden forest. Rinkenbach, Holzbach, Scheidebach and Hellesbach flow into the Olef in the village. Oberhausen has a church and a kindergarten and has 840 residents.
history
Oberhausen has belonged to the noble lords of Schleiden for centuries. It was first mentioned in 1438.
Due to § 9 of the Aachen law , the place was incorporated into the new town of Schleiden on January 1, 1972.

The B 265 runs through Oberhausen . The nearest motorway junctions are Nettersheim on the A 1 in 25 km and Aachen-Lichtenbusch on the A 44 in 44 km and St. Vith-Nord on the Belgian A27 in 46 km away.
In Oberhausen there is a stop on the Oleftalbahn . It was reactivated in autumn 2010 and has been served by the RSE on weekends ever since.
