Location of Oberhof in Bavaria

Oberhof is a district of the small Upper Bavarian town of Penzberg in the Weilheim-Schongau district . The wasteland is about four kilometers north of the Penzberg town center, east of Zist and west of Nantesbuch . About 500 meters further north is the hamlet of Promberg .

history

Oberhof is first mentioned in 1487 as "Oberhoffen". The courtyards there - a whole courtyard and a Hube - were founded relatively late by the Benediktbeuern monastery . In the 18th century the whole courtyard was downgraded to a Hube.

Up until 1925, Oberhof was classified as a hamlet in the official local registers , and since 1950 it has only been a wasteland.

Oberhof belongs to the Catholic parish of St. Vitus Iffeldorf .
