Location of Maxkron in Bavaria

Maxkron (outdated Maxlkron and Maxelkron ) is a district of the Upper Bavarian town of Penzberg in the Weilheim-Schongau district .

The village is about 2.5 kilometers northeast of the Penzberg town center on the Loisach . On the opposite bank of the river lie the villages of Hohenbirken and Unterkarpfsee , which belong to Bad Heilbrunn . The place is divided into Upper and Lower Maxkron. State road 2370 runs through Untermaxkron .

history

Maxkron was founded in 1802 as a settlement of so-called " land drivers " in Loisach moor . The first site inspection by interested hawkers, the surrounding farmers, the responsible chief hunter and a notary from the Weilheim district court took place on September 9, 1802. The settlers were assigned land for 6-15 days , which they first had to reclaim in order to build a house on it. The timber was also provided to the settlers. The surrounding farmers complained several times about the illegality of the colonists and the municipality of Sankt Johannisrain did not recognize Maxkron as part of the municipality until 1857, although the settlement was expressly listed as such in the church foundation act of 1813. Until the construction of the Maxkroner ridge on the Loisach in 1934. One was in its place Ferry in use.

The place was named after the first Bavarian King Max I. Joseph .

In 1818 Maxkron belonged to the Roman Catholic parish of St. Vitus Iffeldorf , then to St. Peter and Paul Antdorf and, since it was founded in 1899, to the parish of Penzberg.

The traditional costume association G.TEV Loisachtaler Maxkron has existed since 1901 and the SpVgg Maxkron since 1958 .
