Edenhof (obsolete Oedenhofen / Ödenhof and Ehrenhof ) is a district of the Upper Bavarian town of Penzberg in the district of Weilheim-Schongau . The hamlet is located about 1.5 kilometers southeast of the Penzberg town center, elevated on a fold of molasses .
history
The two Edenhofer Höfe belonged to the Habach Collegiate Monastery until 1554 , which then exchanged it on September 6 for two Huben in Hofheim and the Thomamühle near Habach with the Benediktbeuern Monastery . In the land register of the monastery from the 17th century, three courtyards are mentioned; the division probably took place around 1648. In the pen book of 1692 two quarter courtyards and one half courtyard and in 1756 two 3 ⁄ 8 courtyards and a quarter courtyard are described.
Edenhof has always belonged to the Catholic parish of St. Georg Sindelsdorf , which was once incorporated into the Habacher Stift.
