Oliviero Rincón Quintana (born April 24, 1968 in Duitama , Boyacá ) is a former Colombian road cyclist . He was a professional from 1990 to 1996 and again in 1998.

Career

Rincón started his professional career with the Colombian team Postóbon. His greatest successes are the stage victories of the Grand Tours Tour de France 1993 , Vuelta a España 1993 , Giro d'Italia 1995 and Vuelta a España 1996 .
In 2012 he began his work as the sporting director at Team Colombia . Here he was responsible for the European races. He held this position until 2015.

family

In 2000, Rincón was abducted twice and each time released unharmed by the kidnappers.
His older brother Daniel Rincón was also a professional cyclist.
