Olivia Lewis (born October 18, 1978 in Qormi ) is a Maltese singer.

Career

Lewis took part from 1997 to 2007 with a total of 13 songs in the TVM show Malta Song For Europe , which is Malta's preliminary decision for the Eurovision Song Contest . At the age of 14 she took part in the Malta Song for Europe as a background singer. A year later she was the backing singer for William Mangion's winning song This time . In 2007 she won, so she was allowed to represent Malta in Helsinki . Although the song Vertigo , written by Philip Vella and Gerard James Borg , was considered a favorite, it was already eliminated in the semifinals. It came in 25th place (out of 28) with 15 points.

In 2013 she took part in the Internazzjonali Tal-Kanzunetta Maltija festival and won with the song Hawn Mill-Gdid , written by Paul Abela and Joe Julian Farrugia.

In 2014 she took part in the L-Għanja Tal-Poplu and took 3rd place as a duo with Miriam Christine , who wrote her song Wara L-Kanċell together with Joe Julian Farrugia.
