Georgina Abela

Georgina Abela (born April 23, 1959 ) is a Maltese singer and composer.

She took part as a singer together with Paul Giordimaina at the Eurovision Song Contest 1991 in Rome and achieved sixth place with the ballad Could it Be . She also took part in the Maltese contribution to later contests. Since October 2, 1986 she has been married to the composer and orchestrator Paul Abela , who wrote several songs for Georgina, including Could it Be .

She was also known as a singer in music clubs across Malta and as a musical performer.
