Christabelle Borg

Christabelle Borg (* 1992 in Malta ) is a Maltese singer and songwriter .

Life

Christabelle Borg received singing lessons from both Maltese and foreign teachers since she was a child. During her childhood she hosted the two television programs Teen Trouble and Teen Traffic , both of which were nominated for national TV awards. She has given concerts in Malta, Rome and the USA . She also studied music at Mount Sainte Mary's College in Hollywood . In 2013 the singer applied with the song Lovetricity at the Maltese preliminary decision for the Eurovision Song Contest 2014, and took eighth place in the final. In 2014 , Borg applied again with the song Rush and became one of the 20 semi-finalists. She finished the competition second behind Amber Bondin . In 2016 she applied again with the song Kingdom at the Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2016, but was defeated by the Maltese superstar Ira Losco .

In 2018 she won the Maltese ESC preliminary decision and therefore represented her country with the song Taboo at the Eurovision Song Contest in Lisbon . She was eliminated in the second semifinals.

She is currently studying accounting at the University of Malta .
