Olivia Silhavy
Olivia Silhavy (born July 25, 1957 in Vienna ) is an Austrian actress .
Life
After graduating from high school , Silhavy first studied a few semesters in the field of tourism and tourism at the Vienna University of Economics and Business . From 1977 to 1981, Silhavy was a television announcer for the Austrian Broadcasting Corporation . She also studied jazz dance and received musical lessons from Susi Nicoletti . From 1978 to 1981 she completed an acting training at the Max Reinhardt Seminar in Vienna , which she graduated with a diploma as a stage actress. From 1981 to 1983 her first permanent theater engagement followed at the Landestheater Salzburg . In 1984 Silhavy was committed to the Berlin Comedy on Kurfürstendamm . There she starred in Half Truths by Alan Ayckbourn, directed by Wolfgang Spier . The production, in which Thomas Fritsch , Anaid Iplicjian and Herbert Bötticher were their partners, was also recorded for television in 1985 . She later had further engagements in Berlin at the Schillertheater , the Hansa Theater and the Berliner Kammerspiele . There she played the title role in Jean-Paul Sartre's play The Honorable Whore in 1984 . In 1985 she played Marianne in Tartuffe at the Landestheater Salzburg , the title role in Olympia by Ferenc Molnár and Franziska in Minna von Barnhelm . In 1988 she played the title role in Minna von Barnhelm at the Hansa-Theater in Berlin under the direction of Boleslaw Barlog . In 1993, she played with the Luisenburg Festival in Wunsiedel the Alcmene in Amphitryon and Agnès Sorel in Friedrich Schiller's tragedy The Maid of Orleans . From 1998, Silhavy was frequently seen in tabloid comedies . She performed at the Theater am Dom in Cologne and at the comedy in the Bayerischer Hof in Munich . In 2006/2007 she played the role of Madame Durand in the comedy Die Kaktusblüte at the Theater in der Josefstadt in Vienna .
From the mid-1980s, Silhavy also played roles on Austrian and German television. Silhavy took on several continuous series roles, recurring episode lead roles and guest roles. In the European TV crime series Eurocops she played the role of Erika from 1989 to 1991 . In 1992 she had her first leading role in the ORF television series Donauprinzessin . From 1995 to 1996, the leading role of Dorothee Berger followed in the ZDF - soap opera A lot of life , through which Silhavy became known to a larger television audience for the first time. From 1998 to 1999 she was Dr. Inge Gürth can be seen in the ORF television series Kaisermühlen Blues . In 2002 she starred alongside Klausjürgen Wussow in some of the episodes of the television series Klinik unter Palmen .
In recent years, Silhavy has appeared in various Austrian and German co-productions by ZDF and ORF . So she played the role of the country doctor Johanna Lund in the television film The Secret of Svenaholm from the Inga Lindström television series . She was also seen as Elsa in the Inga Lindström film adaptation of The Horses of Katarinaberg . In the Rosamunde Pilcher film, Arrows of Love , she was the housekeeper Laura Evans, the good soul of the stately home.
In 2010 she played the constantly occurring role of Ingrid Sachs in the SAT1 soap opera One Like No other and embodied the cold and evil mother of the characters Philip and Mark .
